Review: Milani Make It Last Setting Spray

In all the time I’ve been using makeup, this is actually my first setting spray. I’ve used face mists in the past but that’s not quite the same thing. I found out about this product on Beauty Frenzy blog. She had good things to say about it and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Shortly after, Milani advertised the product on their Instagram as a must-have for summer and I got really interested.

Lagos is hot and humid most of the year so even if you don’t have oily skin, it can be difficult for makeup to hold up all day. For me my T-zone and eyelids get oily the most. I bought the Milani Make It Last Spray from @enydarbeautyworld’s stall at The 6th Lagos Make Up Fair 2017. This is both a primer and setting spray so you can spray it on right before you put on foundation or afterwards. This makes my foundation blend seamlessly. It’s also a good idea to use it to dampen your brush before applying foundation. It’s a nice, cool feeling with no irritation. The packaging is also great.

The spray keeps my makeup in place for longer and I don't need to retouch when I use it with long-wearing foundation which is certainly an improvement. It’s better to use this right after foundation, let it set and then apply powder. Spraying it after the powder may make the powder separate and look patchy. I’ve never cared for the dewy look but just because I love this so much, I’m curious to try the Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray.

Pros
  • ·         Primes the face for foundation
  • ·         Sets makeup

Cons
  • ·         None
I really have no reason to complain about this product. It definitely met my expectations and I will definitely be repurchasing.  Unfortunately, I can’t remember how much it cost me but Milani is quite affordable. You can find a Milani distributor nearby by contacting @milanicosmeticsng or buy directly from their store in Oregun. You can also buy it online here. If you’ve used this or Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray, I’d like to hear your thoughts and what your favourite setting sprays are. Cheers!

  2. This is my first time hearing about their setting spray. I am curious about setting sprays that claim to prime skin and set makeup. I always wondered how they can do both?

    1. Well it's just a setting spray really but if you use it before foundation, it helps with blending.
