MTV MAMA 2016 winner Yemi Alade's stunning look

I didn't get to watch MTV MAMA this year but I love this gold choker and braided updo worn by Yemi Alade. It was one of her 3 looks of the night and I was wondering how this was achieved but it turns out that it's a head wrap and not hair extensions. Asides from looking good she was also a winner at the event and took home the Best Female Act award. I love how she always expresses her love for her African roots in her style and music.

According to her stylist, Soup Official the braid crown is a hairstyle from Congo's Mangbetu women and was also rocked by Beyoncé in her music video for Sorry.

Can you rock this as your everyday hairstyle? I'm thinking about work and school. I see this as a beautiful traditional wedding hairstyle especially as a fuss-free headwrap. Very regal and very African.
