Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation First Impressions + Giveaway!

Fenty Beauty has been out for a while now and a new collection even came out this week. I was so hyped for the launch and proud of RiRi for quietly developing all of this and coming out with 40 foundation shades! I could tell that it wasn't just about jumping on the makeup line bandwagon. I feel like she truly put a lot into it and really wanted to make every girl feel included.

Being all the way in Nigeria with no Sephora or Harvey Nichols meant I couldn't order immediately and the Fenty Beauty website was no help as it doesn't deliver to Nigeria. I told myself I wasn't going to order anyway cause I hate buying foundation online.

I was going to wait till Christmas when I would possibly travel and visit a Sephora myself. However, a friend of mine was coming into the country and I couldn't help asking them to stop by Sephora for me.

I had to guess my foundation based off of the yellow based shades on the website and a few YouTube reviews. In the end my friend had to buy me the shade 370 because a lot of the darker shades were sold out at the store they went to. First of all, I love the packaging - beautiful frosted glass bottle that shows off the foundation shade. It comes with a pump which is very necessary because the product itself is very runny and that could easily get messy. I've recently found out that you can buy Fenty Beauty products in Nigeria here but for the foundation, I still think it's best I wait.

First Impressions

• It is very lightweight - perfect for hot, humid Nigeria!
• Dries fast and difficult to blend
• Probably applies better with a sponge than brush
• May highlight dry patches on your face

Unfortunately for me, the shade 370 just won't work no matter what I do. I was really hoping it will dry darker/oxidise as a lot of people claimed but it didn't. I've decided to give away mine to anyone interested. Check out the swatches below for reference.
